Required Reading: Sophie & Carter by Chelsea Fine

While other high school seniors are dreaming about their futures, Sophie and Carter are just trying to make it through each day. Carter is overwhelmed by issues at home as he struggles to support his mother. Meanwhile, next door neighbor Sophie is left to care for her three younger siblings in place of their absent and troubled mother. All that holds these two best friends together is each other, and knowing that each night they'll sit together on Sophie's front porch swing and escape from reality, if just for awhile. But as their relationship reaches a turning point and high school graduation nears, will their friendship become something more?

My Favorite Verse in The Bible

Our ICT teacher told us to recite our favorite verse in The Bible and tell what it means. I chose the verse Philippian 4:6, "Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need & thanks Him for all He has done." It means that as we take a closer look at this passage today we’ll see how we can stand fast in the Lord by resisting the temptation to worry and we can do that by being prayerful, by being thankful and by experiencing the peace of God. That's why this is my favorite verse in the Bible.

Just got a Diary ng Panget book 2! \(^O^)/
Thanks to my beloved father for buying me this book :* I Love You sooooooo much ^___^

To become a...

As you can see in the picture at the top is a Doctor. Our ICT teacher told us to draw of what we want to be after 15 years. I started off thinking I wanted to go into Medicine because of my interest in Science and my fascination with the way in which the human body functions. Now I think it runs deeper than that, when I was younger my Grandfather suffered from a liver cancer, sadly he didn't survive. I think that this is ingrained in a part of me, I remember feeling so helpless, the ambulance took over an hour to get to us. My mom, dad and me (I was 7) went straight over, what I remember most specifically is that I was in the living room, on the phone to the operator relaying instructions to my mom, who was in another room with my Granddad, who I think was unconscious at the time. I blamed myself for a long time, thinking that he might have lived if I had given the instructions more clearly. This experience has made me want to be involved in a caring profession. I see it as an opportunity to help prevent families going through a similar situation.

There are many other reasons that interest me, lifelong learning, the opportunity to teach and pass my skills onto others, but mostly, more than any other profession a true sense of being able to make a difference to the community.
